Annex 3: Acceptable Use Policy
Opener is a tool for recording your own business work: who spoke with whom, what was agreed and what happens next. This Policy applies to all Users of the Service, including the Opener Team browser extension and the MCP interface.
1. Opener records, it does not act on your behalf
- The extension reads only the page that you yourself have open, and it records only what you confirm.
- Opener does not send messages, send connection invitations, follow profiles, like posts or browse pages on your behalf. You always take any action on LinkedIn yourself.
2. What is prohibited
- Automating LinkedIn or other websites by means of the Service or in combination with it, so that the Service serves as a store of automatically scraped data (bots, scripts, bulk browsing of profiles).
- Circumventing or modifying the extension so that it reads more than described or works without your instruction.
- Bulk entry of personal data without a legal basis; purchasing and importing contact databases that you are not authorized to use.
- Storing special categories of data (health, political opinions, religion, sexual orientation and the like) and data relating to criminal offences, unless this is necessary and lawful.
- Sending unsolicited commercial communications in breach of the law, and ignoring the “do not contact” flag.
- Harassing, stalking or profiling people for any purpose other than a business purpose.
- Attempting to access the data of another Workspace, testing for vulnerabilities without our agreement, overloading the Service, circumventing AI limits.
- Sharing your access or extension token with another person.
- Using the Service for anything unlawful.
3. Responsibility for data about people
- The organization that uses Opener is the controller of the data about its contacts. It must have a legal basis (for business outreach, usually legitimate interest) and must inform people about the processing.
- If a contact asks you to erase their data or raises an objection, let your Workspace Admin know. The record can be deleted or marked “do not contact”.
4. Breaches
If this Policy is breached, we may restrict or terminate the access of a User or a Workspace, in
serious cases even without prior notice. Please report breaches to contact@opener.team.
