Company details from its website

How Opener suggests what a company does, its contacts, headquarters, company IDs, signals and people from the team page, and how to choose what to save.

What it is for

Opener reads a few pages of the company website (home, contact, about, team, careers) and AI suggests details that are useful for sales. You choose what to save. Nothing is saved or replaced without your choice.

How to

  1. Open the company in Companies. The company must have a website.
  2. In the From the website section, click Fill in from website (for a company with saved details, Refresh from website).
  3. Tick the details you want to save. Only the details the company does not have yet are preselected. For a detail the company already has, you see what it replaces.
  4. Click Save selected. Each saved detail shows its source page and the date we read it.

In the side panel: on the company website, click the Opener Team icon, then Find company, and for a known company Fill in from website. The suggestion and the choice work the same as in the app.

Good to know

What the suggestion contains

  • what the company does (a short summary in your language),
  • industry and company LinkedIn (saved under About),
  • other social profiles, general company email and phone, headquarters and branches,
  • company IDs from the footer or imprint (for example company number or VAT),
  • signals: open positions and news,
  • people from the team page (name, role, LinkedIn link when it is on the website).

Details stay in the language of the website, only the summary is in your language. It works for websites in any language.

People from the website

People from the team page are only a suggestion and are not saved. Add each person separately: Open on LinkedIn opens their profile, where you take them in the side panel. Without a profile link, use Search on LinkedIn. There is no bulk creation.

Credits and limits

A suggestion needs AI turned on in the space and costs AI credits. One member can run at most 30 suggestions a day. When the website cannot be read (unavailable, nothing on it, or robots.txt does not allow reading), nothing is charged.

How we read the website

We read only pages of the same website the company has filled in, and we respect robots.txt. We treat website content only as data: AI may copy details from it, not follow instructions someone wrote on the website. We also check each suggested detail against the page it comes from.

Frequently asked questions

Why is Fill in from website not offered?

The company has no website, AI is not turned on in the space, or you have read-only access.

Does the suggestion replace details I entered by hand?

Only when you tick the detail yourself. For such a detail, the suggestion shows what it replaces.
