Member roles and permissions
What the space owner, an admin and a member may do, what pausing means, and which rights are granted to members separately.
What it is for
The role determines what a member may manage in the space. Working with contacts is the same for all roles; managing the space belongs to the space owner and admins.
How to
An admin manages member roles and rights in Space admin, the Members tab:
- For a member, choose the role Member or Admin.
- Pause switches the member to read-only access, Resume restores it. A paused member also has Remove from space in the More actions menu.
- The Fills New contacts column allows collecting people from a LinkedIn search with the side panel.
- The In overviews column determines whether the member has a row in the Team overviews and in the Outreach progress section of a contact.
You cannot change your own role or pause yourself.
Good to know
| Role | What it may do in addition |
|---|---|
| Member | works with contacts, runs their own action plan, has their own labels, templates and views |
| Admin | all of Space admin: settings, members, calling, export, import; the team plan, team labels and views, cadence on all relationships, closing and handing over a contact |
| Owner | the same as an admin, plus the space logo; there is one per space |
- A paused member (Paused) can still sign in, read and search, but cannot record anything or connect the side panel. When paused, their open tasks go back to the people who assigned them, and the tasks they assigned are taken over by the space owner.
- Fills New contacts: after it is turned on, the member must replace the token in the side panel with a new one.
- In overviews: excluding a member applies from now on. The member's work still counts towards the team totals.
- The AI level and a member's monthly limit are set in Space settings, the AI section.
- A deal can be changed by the person who leads it, the relationship owner and admins.
- A role in the space is not the same as being the owner of a relationship with a contact.
Frequently asked questions
How do I remove a member from the space?
Pause the member first, then choose Remove from space. A removed member loses access to the space and their private contacts are permanently deleted. Shared contacts they owned stay in the space.
How do I transfer ownership of the space?
The app does not offer transferring space ownership yet. Write to us in the support chat at the bottom left.
Does an admin see more contacts than a member?
No. All members see shared contacts and the work with them in the same way; an admin only has space administration in addition. Not even an admin can see members' private contacts.
