Inviting colleagues to your space
How to invite a colleague to your space with an invitation link or add them as a member by email.
What it is for
Opener is a team tool. An invited colleague sees the team's contacts and can start working with them right away.
How to
Colleagues are invited by the space admin in Space admin, tab Members.
Space in beta: invitation by link
- Click Invite a colleague and enter your colleague's work email.
- Click Create invitation.
- Copy the link with Copy link and send it to your colleague yourself, for example by email. Opener does not send anything.
- Your colleague opens the link and signs in with the Google account for this email, or with a code sent to this email.
Other spaces: adding a member
- Click Add member and enter your colleague's email.
- Choose a role and confirm.
You can only add an existing account that has signed in to Opener at least once and is not yet in the space.
Good to know
- In beta you can invite at most three colleagues. Members and pending invitations both count. You can see the free places next to the invitations.
- An invitation is valid for 14 days and belongs to one email. It cannot be used with another account.
- The link is shown only once. If you lose it, Revoke the invitation and create a new one.
- An invited colleague gets the Member role. You can change the role later in the Members tab.
- You can see the status of an invitation in the Invitations list: Pending, Used, Revoked, Expired.
- After the first sign-in, your colleague sees a short welcome with a choice of language.
