How to install Opener on your phone and what you find there, the Today screen, tasks, follow-ups and the support chat.

What it is for

Install Opener on your phone as an app. Away from your computer you quickly handle what is waiting for you today: tasks, follow-ups and the support chat. Working with lists, imports and space administration stays on the computer.

How to

  1. On your computer, open My settings, the Mobile tab, and scan the QR code with your phone camera.
  2. iPhone: in Safari, tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen.
  3. Android: in Chrome, open the ⋮ menu and choose Install app.
  4. Open Opener from your home screen and sign in with a code from your email.

Good to know

  • Bottom bar: Today, Tasks, Follow-ups and Support. The + button in the middle opens Quick actions: Find a contact, Log after a meeting or call, new task, new follow-up and Meeting preparation. The other sections are under the All sections button at the top left.
  • Find a contact shows the contact in brief: the phase, who handles the relationship, the last activity and the Call, Email and LinkedIn profile buttons. Channels marked do not contact are not offered.
  • Log after a meeting or call: the step, a note and the next follow-up in one form. When you call from Opener, the form opens by itself when you return to the app, asking How did it go?.
  • Sharing from LinkedIn (Android): in the LinkedIn app, choose Share on a profile and pick Opener. Opener shows whether you know the contact and who handles it, and offers Take. On iPhone, sharing into a home screen app is not possible.
  • Today shows follow-ups due today and overdue, tasks overdue and due today, a new reply from support, unread personal messages and upcoming meetings with a Prepare link. Today and due dates are calculated the same way as in Follow-ups.
  • Follow-ups on the phone: each has Done, Snooze (tomorrow, next week or a date you pick) and Log a step, which opens the contact detail. You can bring back a completed follow-up right away with Undo.
  • Tasks: Assigned to me and Assigned by me, the task detail with its thread and status change. You can attach a photo from your phone to a reply.
  • Support: the support chat on the full screen with help search above it.
  • Without a network: the app shows the last loaded version of the Today screen read only, with a note on when it is from. Logging and other actions work when the network is back. Signing out removes the stored version from the phone.
  • The same address leads to the same place on the phone and on the computer, only in a different layout.

Frequently asked questions

Why should I sign in with a code from my email in the app?

On iPhone, signing in with Google switches the app to Safari and does not return to the app. The email code always works.

Where do I find the shortcuts?

Press and hold the Opener icon on your home screen: Today, New task and logging after a meeting.

Is the app in the App Store or Google Play?

No. Opener installs straight from the browser and updates itself.
