What it is for

You can connect Opener to Claude or another AI app that supports MCP. The app can then read your contacts, follow-ups, action plan and team overview and help you work with them. It cannot change anything. You can also ask how Opener works: the app answers from this help.

How to

  1. In the app, open My settings, tab Connections, section AI apps, and next to Server address click Copy.
  2. In Claude, open Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector. Paste the address and connect.
  3. Opener opens. If you are not signed in, sign in.
  4. On the Connect an AI app page, check the app name and publisher, select a space if needed, and click Allow.

In a Claude team or company account, the organization's admin adds the connector in Claude, and members then only sign in.

Other apps (for example Claude Code or other clients that support a remote MCP server) use the same address and the same sign-in.

Good to know

  • Read only. The app does not record or send anything.
  • The app sees only what you see in the app. It does not receive the email addresses and phone numbers of contacts.
  • Reading does not use the space's credits. The limit is 60 calls per minute and 1,000 per day per member.
  • A connection lasts 30 days from its last use. After that you need to connect again.
  • Opener records which app called which tool and when, without the content of the queries.
  • Claude has ready-made prompts: Meeting preparation, Weekly team summary, Who to message this week, How to do it in Opener, Getting started with Opener and Why I cannot see something.

What the app can read

People and contact detail, labels, saved views, search in notes, actions, team messages and documents, your action plan, follow-ups (on contacts and companies) and tasks (only those you assigned or work on), companies and coverage, deals, team activity, team messages, new contacts and action plan history. It also reads this help, so it can answer questions about how Opener works and give the article link.

Disconnecting

In My settings, tab Connections, section AI apps, part Connected apps, click Disconnect next to the app. It takes effect immediately.

For admins

You turn off AI app connections for the space in Space settings, section AI apps (MCP), with the Allow AI app connections option. Turning it off stops all calls in the space immediately. When you turn it on again, the connections work again.

Frequently asked questions

Instead of the server address, I see that connections are turned off.

The space admin has turned off AI app connections. Ask them to turn it on.

The connection page says that the request has expired.

The request is valid for 10 minutes. Start the connection in the AI app again.

Is this the same as Ask AI?

No. Ask AI is the AI built into Opener and it uses credits. A connected app is your own AI, and Opener only provides it with data to read.
